NHS Bury Clinical Commissioning Group’s (CCG) next routine Primary Care Commissioning Committee meeting is taking place later this month, and members of the public are invited to come along to observe and ask questions.
The Primary Care Commissioning Committee oversees the work of the CCG in relation to the commissioning of Primary Care services, such as GP services.
The next meeting is scheduled to take place on Wednesday 23rd August 2017, starting at 12 noon, at Townside Primary Care Centre, Knowsley Place in Bury (5th floor).
There will be regular items on the agenda, and in addition this month, the availability of a public facing version of the Primary Care Health and Wellbeing Strategy will also be highlighted. This is a summary of Primary Care’s – dentists, GPs, opticians and pharmacists – contribution to deliver Bury’s (Locality Plan) vision to ensure people live happy, healthy lives and are able to maintain their independence for as long as possible. There will also be an item relating to Bury’s bid to secure additional primary care monies from the Greater Manchester investment fund.
Public questions relating to agenda items being discussed are welcome. These should be submitted in advance to allow sufficient time for the question to be picked up and processed in advance of the meeting.
Peter Bury, Chair of the Primary Care Commissioning Committee for NHS Bury CCG said:
“Our meetings in public provide a great opportunity for local people to come along and find out more about what we do. We regularly welcome members of the public to our meetings and I would encourage anyone who would like to find out more to come along.”
Anyone unable to attend in person can follow the meeting online live on Twitter at @NHSBuryCCG
The agenda and papers for the meeting will be available on the ‘Your local NHS’ section of the CCG website in advance of the meeting.
